I know there must be a similar thread, but can't find. so...again. Could anyne please go over the basics of getting my 95 GSR ready for turbo? What needs to be done? What could be done? What would be optimal? What parts should I get first? should I start with clutch? Step by step would be much appreciated-so I can save and pay as i go along.
many thanks.

Do a compression check first. You don't want to be force feeding an engine that might not be able to handle it.

HOW MANY POUNDS OF BOOST ARE YOU PLANNING ON RUNNING. THIS WILL ANSWER A LOT OF YOUR QUESTION. LOWER BOOST LESS STUFF TO WORRY ABOUT. MORE BOOST MORE MONEY MORE POWER.

Well, I'm not sure if your car is stock so I assume it is. Compression check definitely. I would heavily consider suspension work. You need a tight suspension with turbo so you can keep as much of that power at the wheels as possible. I'd consider going ahead and getting a free flowing exhaust, at least 2.5", if not 3" (3" is MUCH better!). It's gonna make you slower without turbo but it will be hella fast with it! Other than that, nothing really. I would just wait until you get a kit.

OK. compression check first.
As far as setup goes - I have suspension all set (sus. techniques sway bars front and rear, strut bars , tociko shocks with eihbach pro kit springs.Greddy evo already installed(not sure if 3"). Skunk2 manifold to be installed. As for desird PSI-not sure. Want speed though! Was thinking of valve work for higher red line? Also would be interested in what might help to prevent prob's later.Gauges needed?electronics needed? Many ques. thanks for replys!mucho gracias.

Go for higher boost instead of higher redline, IMHO.
